Join the movement as we enable next-generation geothermal for everyone, everywhere.Position SummaryTo help us build the next generation of geothermal drilling technology, we’re looking for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer who thrives on complex 3D assemblies, precision engineering, and real-world hardware development.If you enjoy transforming challenging engineering concepts into robust mechanical designs, then this is your moment.As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support the design and development of advanced geothermal drilling tools and mechanical systems.Working closely with experienced engineers and the R&D team, you will help transform innovative concepts into robust, manufacturable mechanical designs, while progressively taking ownership of components and subsystems.You will be involved throughout the product development process, from initial concepts and 3D modelling to detailed drawings, prototyping, assembly, and testing.Your work will contribute directly to developing tools designed to operate kilometres underground in some of the harshest environments on earth.Roles & ResponsibilitiesCreate and develop 3D models, components, and assemblies for advanced geothermal drilling toolsSupport the design of mechanical components and subsystems for high temperature,



high pressure, shock, and vibration environmentsGenerate technical drawings and manufacturing documentation, including dimensions, tolerances, materials, and assembly requirementsSupport the development and maintenance of CAD structures, configurations, and design revisionsContribute to managing engineering data within PDM/PLM systemsWork with senior engineers to evaluate design concepts, interfaces, tolerances, and manufacturabilitySupport prototyping, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of new tool conceptsCandidate RequirementsDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field0-2 years of professional experience in mechanical design, product development, engineering, or a related fieldGood understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including materials, manufacturing processes, mechanics, and mechanical assembliesIntermediate proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Onshape, Siemens NX (Unigraphics), or similarAbility or willingness to develop skills in creating detailed manufacturing drawings, tolerances, and GD&TInterest in product development, prototyping, and hands-on engineeringStrong English communication skills (C1 level as defined by CEFR)LocationBilbao, Basque Country, SpainFast-paced environment, international ambition, real impactContinuous technical training and self-development opportunitiesInternational working experience with travelling opportunitiesCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits package#J-18808-Ljbffr
