In this role, you will help shape the evolution of ourdata platformand influenceengineering decisionsacross multiple cross-functional teams.Your main goal will be to partner with us in designing and scaling ourdata platform, strengthening both ouroperational databasesandanalytical platform, and bringing qualitysoftware engineering practicesto all ourdata productsandpipelines .You’ll collaborate closely with theproduct teamandbackend engineers, and serve as a trusted partner tobusiness stakeholderswho depend on accurate, timely data to drive product decisions and company strategy.This role is ideal for someone with strong skills inPythonandSQL, solidsoftware engineering fundamentals, a background indata-intensive product or platform teamswhere they contributed to productiondata architecturesandpipelinesend to end, and the ability to succeed in a dynamic,outcome-focused environmentowning the full data cycle fromoperational to analytical systems .Main responsibilities:Define and drive thetechnical visionfor ourdata platformandarchitecture .Designscalable, reliable, and maintainabledata solutionsthat support business growth.Establish and cultivatebest practicesarounddata architecture, modeling,



qualityandengineering standards .Lead complextechnical initiativesand make strategicarchitectural decisionsacross multiple teams.Partner withProduct, Engineeringandbusiness stakeholdersto translate business needs intoscalable data solutions .Mentor and supportData Engineers, fosteringtechnical growthandknowledge sharingacross the team.Drive continuous improvements that increase thescalability, reliability, and efficiencyof ourdata platform .Main requirements:Proficiency in Python for data engineering:Buildingrobust ETL/ELT pipelines ,modular libraries, andtoolingwith strong testing and observability.Advanced SQL skills with PostgreSQL:Complex query design ,performance tuning ,indexing strategies, and a deep understanding ofexecution plansfor bothOLTP and OLAP workloads .Strong experience with dbt:Data modeling ,testing, anddocumenting analytical datasets, managing environments, and structuring projects forscalability .Hands-on experience with Dagster (or similar orchestration tools):Designingassets/jobs ,dependency graphs ,scheduling ,monitoring, andincident handlingfor data workflows.Solid knowledge of containerization and orchestration:DockerandKubernetesfor deployingdata services ,batch jobs, andmicroservicesin production.Strong grasp of data modeling:Dimensional modelingplus a clear understanding of trade-offs foroperational vs analytical schemas .SalaryAt Qualifyze, our salary ranges are transparent internally, and we aim to follow a similar approach externally. For this role, we’re happy to share a reference point within the band: the expected salary range is around75.000€ – 85.000 €,
