Start: ASAP | Contract through 31 December 2026, with possible extension We are looking for an experienced Linux & Geospatial Systems Administrator to join an international technology project based on-site in Valencia, Spain. This is a hands-on infrastructure role combining Linux systems administration, cloud and container technologies, automation and geospatial services. You'll support production and development environments while helping maintain the infrastructure behind GIS applications, spatial databases and web mapping services. What You'll Do Administer, maintain and optimise Linux-based systems and services across production and development environments. Manage Linux platforms and services including Apache, NGINX, PHP, SOLR, Redis, Drupal, My SQL and Postgre SQL. Deploy, migrate and maintain applications and databases using PHP, Java, My SQL and Postgre SQL. Administer Kubernetes clusters and Docker environments. Support microservices and distributed architectures. Perform fault diagnosis, log analysis, root-cause investigation and performance monitoring. Manage upgrades, patches, hot fixes, and security updates. Contribute to automation, CI/CD and deployment processes. Support AI-assisted workflows for monitoring, troubleshooting, scripting, documentation and reporting. Support GIS and geospatial infrastructure, including Open Street Map data repositories and workflows.



Maintain spatial databases and geospatial services using Postgre SQL/Post GIS. Support GIS applications, web mapping services, and geospatial data dissemination platforms. What We're Looking For 5+ years of professional experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or similar. Strong Linux knowledge across Red Hat, Cent OS, Debian and/or Ubuntu environments. Advanced scripting using Shell, Python, Perl or equivalent automation technologies. Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, containerisation and microservices. Experience with Postgre SQL, My SQL and enterprise application deployment, including Post GIS spatial databases. Experience managing or upgrading Drupal and Moodle. Strong troubleshooting, analytical and technical documentation capabilities. Geospatial & AI Experience Experience or knowledge in the following areas will be particularly relevant: GIS concepts and spatial data management Open Street Map (OSM) data structures and workflows GIS platforms and web mapping services Generative AI for scripting, troubleshooting, documentation and workflow automation AI governance, data protection and responsible AI practices IC - Terms of Reference - Linux… A relevant technical Bachelor's degree is expected, although the TOR explicitly allows relevant professional certifications plus substantial qualifying experience instead of the university degree. #J-18808-Ljbffr
