Eyr Holistic is a fast-growing consumer goods company with four brands and around 50 SKUs, sold direct-to-consumer and expanding into retail in 2027.
Manufacturing: products made in four countries
Fulfillment: warehouses in four countries
Supply base: raw materials and components sourced from China and across Europe
Next chapter: building our own factory in Poland, with possible future factories in the U.S.
The role
The Director of Operations owns everything between a product idea and a customer's doorstep, across all four brands. You will run manufacturing, fulfillment, quality, suppliers and product COGS, and lead our vertical integration, starting with building and operating a new factory in Poland.
This is an owner's seat, not a coordinator's. You decide where and how we produce, which vendors to keep, which capabilities to bring in-house, and you negotiate so we pay the best possible price at all times. As we launch into retail next year, you will also own the operational side of that channel.
Scope: 4 brands, ~50 SKUs, 4 manufacturing countries, 4 warehouse countries
Location: Remote, Europe-based, with regular travel to Poland and partner sites
Key responsibilities Manufacturing
Manage our contract manufacturers across four countries: capacity, lead times, production planning and on-time delivery
Decide where and how each product is made, balancing cost, quality, speed and risk
Fulfillment and logistics
Oversee our warehouses in four countries and the 3PL partners behind them
Drive delivery speed, accuracy and cost per order;
plan inventory placement across markets
COGS and negotiations
Own product COGS for all ~50 SKUs and a roadmap to lower them every year
Lead negotiations with manufacturers, 3PLs and suppliers so we always have the best possible prices and terms
Quality
Set and enforce quality standards, inspections and corrective actions across every site
Keep returns, defects and customer complaints from production issues trending down
Manage raw material and component suppliers in China and Europe
Build supplier redundancy, run audits and protect us from supply disruptions
Strategy and vertical integration
Think like an owner about the whole operation: which vendors to keep, replace or integrate, and what to bring in-house
Build the business cases for vertical integration and present them to the founders
Retail operations (from 2027)
Set up the operational backbone for retail: packaging, labelling, compliance, retailer logistics and replenishment
The big project: our own factory in Poland
You will lead our first vertical integration project end to end, from business case to a running factory.
- Plan: define which products and processes move in-house, capacity needs, capex and payback
- Build: select the site, equipment and contractors;
manage budget and timeline;
secure permits and certifications
- Staff: hire the plant leadership and production team
- Ramp up:
transfer production from contract manufacturers without disrupting supply or quality
- Operate: run the factory to clear targets on cost, output, quality and safety
If Poland succeeds, the same playbook may be used to open factories in the U.S., and you will lead that too.
What success looks like
First 3 months: full map of manufacturers, warehouses, suppliers and COGS per SKU;
first renegotiation wins;
Poland factory businesscase and plan approved
First 6 months: measurable COGS and fulfillment cost reductions;
quality KPIs tracked across every site;
factory site and key equipment secured
First 12 months: Poland factory built and ramping;
retail operations live and running smoothly;
a clear view on the next integration step, including the U.S.
What we're looking for Must have
10+ years in operations, manufacturing or supply chain for physical consumer products, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role
Hands-on experience managing contract manufacturers and 3PLs across several countries
A track record of cutting COGS and winning tough supplier negotiations, with numbers to show for it
Experience building, launching or running a production facility (greenfield or major expansion)
Experience sourcing from China and Europe
Strong financial thinking: unit economics, capex, business cases, payback
Ownership mentality: you act like it's your own company and your own money
Fluent English;
willing to travel regularly, especially to Poland
Nice to have
Polish language or experience operating in Poland or Central Europe
Background in a DTC or e-commerce brand
Experience with U.S. manufacturing or plant set-up
