Experteer Overview
As Senior Analog IC Designer in our EDA Applications Engineering team, you apply hands-on transistor-level design to create high-performance analog and mixed-signal blocks. You will own circuits end-to-end, from design and simulation to tape-out support and silicon characterization, while shaping design methodologies used across RF, analog, and digital IC groups. This hybrid role combines hands-on design with system-level tooling improvements and collaboration with EDA vendors. Your work directly influences first-pass silicon success and the quality of our EDA flows. You’ll contribute to technical leadership and have opportunities to mentor and publish.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Design, simulate, and characterize high-performance analog and mixed-signal building blocks (amplifiers, references, oscillators, ADCs/DACs, power management).
• Own circuits end-to-end from design and simulation through layout oversight, tape-out support, and silicon characterization.
• Provide technical design leadership and mentor engineers; contribute to invention disclosures and publications.
• Provide day-to-day applications support for RFIC, analog, mixed-signal, and digital design teams on Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, and related platforms.
• Develop, qualify, and deploy design methodologies and flows spanning analog/RF, AMS verification, digital implementation, modeling, simulation, and silicon correlation.
• Translate hands-on design experience into reference flows, PDK enablement, reusable automation, and best practices to improve first-pass silicon success.
• Evaluate, benchmark, and qualify new EDA tools; partner with vendors to resolve issues and influence roadmaps.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with technology, design, CAD, and product engineering to raise design productivity and quality.
• Deliver training, documentation, and mentoring to raise designer proficiency across RF, analog, mixed-signal, and digital methods.
Responsabilidades
• 5+ years of transistor-level analog IC design experience
• Experience with one or more: amplifiers, comparators, voltage references/bias circuits, oscillators, ADCs/DACs, or mixed-signal subsystems
• Expert knowledge of Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, and standard analog verification/characterization tools
• Strong fundamentals in analog circuit design, device physics, noise analysis, stability and compensation, and matching/PVT variation analysis
• Hands-on silicon characterization and debug experience
• Experience or interest in providing applications support, defining design methodology, or bridging designers and EDA tools/flows
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; ability to interface between design teams, CAD, and EDA vendors
