Overview

As a Database Platform Expert you will architect and manage multi-platform database solutions (Oracle, PostgreSQL, cloud databases) to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability. You will help modernize our database platforms within a globally distributed team and communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role offers visibility and impact in Sanofi’s AI-driven digital transformation. You’ll influence architecture choices, security, and operational excellence while staying ahead of industry best practices. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with a strong emphasis on automation and Dev Ops to drive scalable database platforms.

Responsabilidades

- Implement robust security controls and ensure regulatory compliance across databases
- Design and implement scalability, replication, clustering, and disaster recovery strategies
- Collaborate with Dev Ops to automate provisioning, configuration, and maintenance tasks (IaC, containerization)




- Establish comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and incident management to minimize downtime
- Maintain detailed documentation and mentor junior team members
- Stay current with emerging database technologies and evaluate new tools to enhance capabilities

Requisitos principales

- 7+ years in database administration across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and cloud-based databases
- 2+ years of hands-on cloud database service experience (AWS, Azure)
- Proficiency in database design, performance tuning, and security
- Strong scripting/automation skills (SQL, Python, Power Shell)
- Significant experience with Dev Ops tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience with change control, incident management, CMDB, validation (GxP) and root cause analysis
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field; Oracle certification mandatory; other DB certifications preferred
