In Greenvolt Power Spain are seeking a Procurement Contracts Manager to oversee the technical-commercial and contractual management of procurement packages during the construction phase of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including Solar PV, Wind, BESS and Grid Connection infrastructure. Acting as the Procurement technical interface with Engineering & Construction, Project Management, the role is responsible for protecting the company's commercial interests, managing contractual risks, negotiating claims and variations, and ensuring contractors and suppliers comply with their contractual obligations throughout project execution.
Key accountabilities
- Manage the technical-commercial administration of EPC, BoP, civil works, electrical works, substation, transmission line and equipment supply contracts during project execution.
- Lead the evaluation, negotiation and administration of variation orders, change requests and contractual amendments.
- Manage contractor (technical-commercial) claims, extension of time (EOT) requests, compensation events and dispute resolution processes.
- Monitor contractual compliance, project milestones, performance guarantees, warranties and liquidated damages provisions.
- Identify and mitigate technical-commercial and contractual risks impacting project cost, schedule and performance.
- Review and validate contractor payment applications in coordination with Engineering & Construction,
commercial deliverables and supporting documentation.
- Support project cost control, forecasting and reporting activities throughout construction.
- Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Legal and Finance teams to ensure effective contract management and project delivery.
- Support Project Finance activities by ensuring contractual compliance with financing requirements, reviewing lender technical and contractual conditions, supporting due diligence processes, and coordinating the timely resolution of technical-contractual matters required to achieve financial close and fulfil ongoing lender obligations.
- Support asset rotation and M&A; transactions by leading the commercial and contractual workstreams, supporting due diligence processes, contract reviews, risk assessments, transaction (technical-commercial) negotiations and post-closing contractual requirements.
- Lead contract close-out activities, including final account negotiations, warranty management and claim settlements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience managing EPC and construction contracts for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Experience with FIDIC, NEC or similar contractual frameworks.
- Solid understanding of claims management, dispute resolution and change order processes.
- Experience in Solar PV, Wind, BESS, Hybrid Projects and Grid Connection infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Strong technical-commercial and contractual acumen.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Proactive, autonomous, and capable of managing multiple projects. xghoner
