Job title: Next-Generation Machine Learning Algorithms for the Analysis of Medical Sleep Recordings

PURPOSE OF CONTRACT: Collaborator on activities related to the project/agreement stated.

JOB LOCATION AND SCHEDULE: CITIC building. Monday to Friday: 09:30 - 13:00 (17,5 h/week)

- T.3.1. Analysis of state‑of‑the‑art related to Human‑In‑The‑Loop techniques

We are seeking a profile related to the field of research and artificial intelligence applied to medicine, with prior knowledge and experience related to signal analysis and deep machine learning.

Requirements: Degree: Engineering, bachelor's degree or equivalent

Eligibility criteria

A.



Academic record of credits passed in the required degrees with a minimum of 240 ECTS credits (max. 1.5 points). Grading will be based on a minimum grade of 5 out of 10 (pass) and proportionally up to 10 out of 10 (with honors) or equivalent.

Degrees in the field of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, will be considered related.

For other degrees, an additional weighting factor of 70% will be applied.

B. Academic record of credits passed in master's degrees in the field of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence with a minimum of 60 ECTS credits (max. 1.5 points).

The minimum considered grade will be 5 out of 10 (pass) and proportionally up to 10 out of 10 (with honors) or equivalent. If all credits are not passed, a proportional weighting factor will be applied.

C. Demonstrable experience* in the scope of the tasks to be performed in the project (max. 4.5 points):

- - Knowledge of Deep Learning (max. 0.5 points)
- - Python programming language and environments (max. 0.5 points)
- - TensorFlow and/or Keras machine learning APIs (max. 0.5 points)
- - Biomedical signal processing (max. 0.75 points) - European Data Format (EDF) (max. 0.75 points) - Explainability of machine learning models (max. 0.75 points)
- - Human-in-the-Loop techniques (max. 0.75 points)

*Demonstrable experience is defined as experience that can be accredited, as appropriate, through courses (0.05 points for every 10 hours), participation in research projects or contracts with companies (0.2 points for each month full-time,



proportional part for part-time), scientific and technical publications (0.5 for each JCR-indexed publication, 0.25 for each conference publication).

D. Personal interview, which will be conducted only with candidates who obtain a minimum overall score of 5 points in sections A-C (maximum 2.5 points).

Selection

A minimum score of 5 points will be required to be awarded the contract.

The position may be declared vacant if no candidate obtains a minimum overall score of more than 5 points.

The process will create a waiting list (reserves) of candidates who meet score at least 5 points among criteria A-C.
