Camelina Company España is looking for a hands-on Data Platform & AI Engineer to take ownership of our Databricks environment and help shape the future of our data and AI capabilities.In this key role, you'll work across the full data lifecycle---from building scalable ETL/ELT and streaming pipelines to deploying machine learning models, developing AI-powered solutions, and creating dashboards that support smarter decision-making.What you'll do- Build and optimize data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, Workflows, Auto Loader, and Delta Live Tables.- Develop and deploy AI and machine learning solutions, including forecasting, anomaly detection, and LLM/RAG applications.- Create impactful dashboards and reports with Databricks SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.- Manage data quality, governance, security, performance, and platform costs.- Partner with operational, financial,



and commercial teams in Spain and the United States to turn business needs into reliable data products.What we're looking for- 3--5 years of hands-on data engineering experience.- Strong knowledge of Databricks, Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, SQL, and Python.- Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines from databases, APIs, files, and streaming sources.- Experience deploying machine learning models with MLflow or similar tools.- Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.- Experience with modern BI and reporting tools.- Full professional fluency in English and Spanish.- Availability for regular working-hour overlap with our Pacific Time team.Experience with Unity Catalog, CI/CD, Terraform, structured streaming, enterprise AI solutions, or the energy and industrial sectors will be highly valued.This position is primarily office or home-office based in Madrid, with occasional travel to company sites, including Bakersfield, California.If you're excited about building a data
