IRB Barcelona is seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to support our cutting edge research in the Chemical Biology and Therapeutics Discovery Research Group led by Dr. Luke Lairson. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing samples, and assisting with chemical biology experiments.Key responsibilities- Prepare and label samples for analysis.- Conduct routine laboratory tests and procedures.- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.- Record and analyze data accurately.- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.- Assist researchers with experiments and projects.- Manage laboratory supplies and inventory.You have- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology,



or equivalent experience.- Experience of 5 years in a laboratory setting.- Knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.- Attention to detail and accuracy.- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Highly motivated and collaborative person.- Willing to keep on learning.- Ability to work independently in a demanding research environment.You might also have- Familiarity with mammalian cell culture, cell and molecular biology techniques, and/or mass spectrometry-based proteomics.- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.- Experience with data analysis software.- Skills: Independence, self-motivation, self-learning abilities, and goal-oriented.What we offer:To be a part a part of something meaningful: We are a biomedical research centre that tirelessly works to achieve a society free of diseases.
