PURPOSE OF CONTRACT: Collaborator on activities related to the project/agreement stated.

JOB LOCATION AND SCHEDULE: CICA, Monday to Friday, 09:00–14:00 and 16:00–18:00

Tasks

The research support tasks to be carried out by the person hired under this contract are as follows: peptide synthesis and preparation of hybrid structures; characterization of the prepared compounds by HPLC-MS, UV-Vis spectroscopy, circular dichroism and fluorescence; and study of the ability of the prepared molecules to form nanostructures and of their incorporation into carbon materials, using spectroscopic and microscopic techniques.

Candidates are expected to be interested in multidisciplinary work and motivated to learn.

Although this is an indefinite-term contract, the tasks specified above are expected to be completed by 31/12/2027.





- Awards for a doctoral thesis defended in the fields of Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, or Materials Science will be assessed: 10 points/award, maximum 10 points.

Eligible awards are the Extraordinary Doctoral Award (premio extraordinario de doctorado) and best-thesis awards granted through a competitive call by universities (including their university presses) or by scientific societies.

Block 2 – Experience

- Experience in peptide synthesis (maximum 15 points; 7.5 points/year).
- Experience in the molecular and structural characterization of peptides (HPLC, MS, UV, CD, etc.) (maximum 15 points; 7.5 points/year).
- Experience in the preparation and modification of carbon materials (maximum 15 points; 3 points/year).
- Experience in the characterization of carbon materials using microscopic and spectroscopic techniques (maximum 15 points; 3 points/year).
- Experience in the preparation and characterization of hybrid materials (maximum 10 points; 5 points/year).

Block 3 – Personal interview

- Candidates who obtain a minimum score of 65 points in Blocks 1 and 2 will be invited to a personal interview (maximum 20 points).

The call may be declared void if no candidate obtains a minimum score of 65 points in the selection criteria set out in Blocks 1 and 2.

To be included on the reserve list, unsuccessful candidates must obtain a minimum score of 65 points in the selection criteria set out in Blocks 1 and 2.
