An opportunity for a Strategic Procurement Manager - Next Generation Composites has arisen within Airbus Operations, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the PMBC (Composites Strategic Procurement) Team, which is in charge of leading the Multi-Functional Team (MFT) for composite materials across the entire Airbus Group through the Procurement Synergy Group (PSG). This team works in a highly transnational, cross-functional, and cross-divisional environment, collaborating closely with R&T;, Engineering, Manufacturing, SC&Q;, and major suppliers to define, develop, and secure the next generation of composite technologies that will directly impact future aircraft platforms and business decisions.RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead the creation and execution of the Composites Procurement Strategy (including Key Principles, Implementation Strategy, and Planning) in alignment with the Next Gen Programme Strategy.- Coordinate the overall Procurement involvement for Next Generation Composite Materials, leading the Call for Tender activities and managing functional,



cross-divisional teams.- Establish and maintain the contractual framework for new composite developments (NDAs, Cooperation, and Research Agreements) with external suppliers.- Monitor and secure suppliers’ involvement, performance, and adherence to Programme milestones, planning, and material deliveries for trials.- Ensure Procurement's contribution to material trade-offs (evaluating cost, industrial capability, and sovereignty) and drive Risk & Opportunity Management.- Consolidate inputs and deliver presentations to higher management at key decision-making forums and Programme gates.SKILLS- Education: Degree in Engineering, Science (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, etc.), or Business Administration.- Experience: Proven experience in Procurement, managing international suppliers, key contracts, and competitive bidding processes.- Soft Skills: Functional leadership, excellent negotiation, communication, and coordinat
