The successful candidate will participate in biomedical research projects primarily focused on viral infections. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative, cutting-edge research within a highly collaborative national and international network.

The PhD student position will be linked to the project entitled “Unlocking pathways for next-generation therapies: CD169 at the crossroads of viral pathogenesis and immunomodulation” (PID2025-173369OB-I00),



granted as well by the Spanish Research Agency .

The role includes working with established technologies within the group, as well as developing and implementing new experimental approaches. The candidate will also be required to work in Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) facilities.

Job duties
- Independently perform daily wet-lab experimental work
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of protocols and data analysis workflows
- Collaborate with research partners in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation
- Prepare scientific presentations and manuscripts for publication
- Present research findings internally and at external meetings and conferences
- Communicate regularly with the Principal Investigators regarding progress
- Commit to full-time work with a versátil schedule
