Mission:

Develop research into bioresorbable biomaterials for vascular applications.

Functions to be developed:
- Design and manufacture new biodegradable metal and/or polymeric spirals using additive manufacturing techniques.
- Develop surface modifications to improve embolization performance.
- Carry out the physicochemical and mechanical characterization of materials and coatings.
- Carry out degradation and release studies and in vitro biological tests.
- Write reports,



scientific and informative documentation of research results.
- Additive manufacturing (3D printing) of biomaterials.
- 3D printing: DIW, PBF-EB (CAD and slicing software).
- Rheology: Flow, oscillatory and recovery tests.
- Physicochemical and mechanical characterization of materials.
- Surface modification and coatings.
- Biological: Cell culture, metabolic activity and cell adhesion assays.

Specific Requirements
Knowledge:
- Biomaterials.
- Thermal and microstructural: DSC, SEM, optical microscopy.
- Chemistry and mechanics: XRD, FTIR, Raman, micro- and nanoindentation.

Professional Experience:
- In the laboratory.
- In the writing of technical and scientific documents.
- Experience in functions similar to those described will be valued, specifically in the development of research activities, both in the university and industrial environment.
