Experteer Overview
As an Ru0026amp;D Domain Architect, you shape the technology landscape of Symrise’s global Ru0026amp;D. You bridge Ru0026amp;D, IT, and Enterprise Architecture to deliver scalable, secure solutions across LIMS, ELN, PLM, data u0026amp; AI, and cloud platforms. You will own the Ru0026amp;D capability map and guide architecture decisions, guardrails, and standards. This role blends strategic direction with hands-on architecture work, influencing a worldwide Ru0026amp;D technology portfolio. You will work with cross-functional leaders to enable innovative, compliant, and sustainable outcomes.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Own and evolve the Ru0026D capability map aligning business needs with value drivers and KPIs
• Lead early assessment of new Ru0026amp;D technology demands and define solution options and guardrails
• Develop and maintain domain reference architectures, patterns, and standards (identity, integration/API, data u0026amp; AI, observability)
• Shape the Ru0026amp;D technology portfolio through prioritization, sequencing, dependency management, and decommissioning opportunities
• Lead Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) with clear decisions, evidence, and documentation
• Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements (security, privacy, resilience, DR, SLAs, observability)
• Collaborate with Ru0026amp;D leaders, lab managers, QA/Regulatory, Legal/IP, and IT on security, data, cloud, platforms, and PMO/Finance
• Evaluate platforms and vendors with statements of work and supplier lifecycle considerations
• Provide architecture guidance and challenge proposals to enable informed tech decisions
• Support scalable, future-ready Ru0026amp;D landscape with data, AI, and MLOps capabilities
Responsabilidades
• 8+ years in Ru0026amp;D, laboratory IT, or related tech environment
• Strong experience with LIMS, ELN, PLM, lab systems, or instrument/OT integration
• Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data architectures
• Enterprise Architecture skills (capability modelling, reference architectures, ADRs, NFRs)
• Knowledge of integration/API patterns, data modelling, and observability
• Familiarity with AI/ML lifecycles and MLOps in Ru0026amp;D
• Understanding of security, privacy, GDPR, NIS2, identity, zero-trust, DR, and business continuity
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work across business and tech teams
• Evidence-based decision making balancing speed, cost, risk, and sustainability
• Clear, confident communication with senior stakeholders and partners
• Fluency in English; international environment experience preferred
