As a Database Engineer in the Digital Technology Service Quality team, you will build, deploy, and support Sanofi’s enterprise data estates critical to operations across manufacturing, research, and enterprise systems. You’ll implement automated provisioning, high-availability designs, and performance tuning to ensure secure, resilient data platforms. This role sits at the heart of Sanofi’s digital transformation, enabling thousands of users through robust data services. You will work with cross-functional teams to deploy data infrastructure as code and maintain proven recoverability and compliance.

• Deploy databases as code using Terraform, Ansible, and migration tooling with CI/CD pipelines
• Design and operate high availability and disaster recovery solutions with Always On, Data Guard, and replication
• Provide L2/L3 operational support and participate in on-call rotations
• Optimize performance and capacity using execution plans and platform-native tools
• Execute patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management in line with compliance SLAs
• Implement database security and compliance including encryption, auditing,



and data masking
• Automate repetitive tasks with PowerShell, Python, and platform APIs
• Onboard databases into monitoring and observability platforms with meaningful alerts and dashboards

Responsabilidades
• Proven experience deploying and supporting enterprise databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL)
• Hands-on expertise in high availability, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and security
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform preferred)
• Experience with schema migration tools and scripting (PowerShell, Python, T-SQL, PL/SQL)
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and managed database services
• ITSM u0026 observability knowledge (ServiceNow, Datadog, Splunk) and ITIL practices
• Strong ownership mindset, ability to communicate risk in business terms
• Fluent English
