Starious Group, together with its local partner in Spain, Trophya Spain S.L., is expanding its engineering activities with new projects in Galicia and Tunis. As part of this growth, we are seeking a Technical Piping Designer to join our team in Málaga, Spain.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design and development of oil storage terminals and related industrial facilities, with a particular focus on piping systems and associated infrastructure. The role will involve the development of 3D piping layouts and engineering drawings using AutoCAD Plant 3D, working in close coordination with other engineering disciplines and in accordance with applicable national and international standards.

The position requires a candidate with at least 2 years of experience in AutoCAD Plant 3D or similar piping design tools, with a solid technical background, a practical approach to engineering challenges, and the flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements.

The role offers the opportunity to work in an international and multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with engineering and project teams across Europe, Singapore, and Canada, and contributing directly to the development and execution of international energy infrastructure projects.

Main Responsibilities

- Develop and model 3D industrial piping systems using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Design and model piping supports and structural elements, coordinating with civil and structural teams.
- Coordinate with the civil/structural discipline for the implementation and 3D modelling of piping and structural supports.
- Model process equipment, ensuring proper orientation of flanges, nozzles, and connections.
- Create and maintain P&ID; (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
- Produce isometric drawings and detailed orthographic views of terminal piping layouts.
- Utilize Navisworks for coordination and clash detection as needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable national and international design codes.




- Prepare and develop P&ID; drawings.
- Develop orthographic drawings and general arrangement drawings for terminal facilities.
- Ensure designs are developed in accordance with applicable project requirements and national or international standards.

Skills and Experience Required

- Degree in Design, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent vocational/technical education.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience using AutoCAD Plant 3D or similar piping design software.
- Strong knowledge of 3D CAD drafting and piping design.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD tools.
- Fluent English, as this will be the main working language.
- Spanish and/or French would be considered an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary and international team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills when working with clients, contractors, engineers, management and plant operators.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented and able to work effectively under project deadlines.
- Versátil and solution-oriented mindset.
