About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and motivated Insurance Underwriter Assistant to support the underwriting team in Queenstown . This role provides crucial administrative and analytical support for the assessment of insurance risks and the preparation of policy documents. You will assist underwriters by gathering information, performing data entry, conducting basic risk assessments, and ensuring the smooth flow of documentation. Key Responsibilities

- Assist underwriters in gathering and organizing prospect information, including applications, financial statements, and loss histories.
- Perform data entry into underwriting systems and maintain accurate policy records.
- Conduct preliminary analysis of basic risks and gather supporting documentation for underwriter review.
- Prepare policy documents, endorsements, and renewal information for issuance.




- Respond to inquiries from agents and brokers regarding policy status and requirements.
- Ensure all administrative tasks related to the underwriting process are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative support role, preferably within the insurance industry or a related financial services environment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and follow established procedures.
