AstraZeneca seeks an Associate Director to lead global health economics and outcomes research strategy across multiple disease areas and products. The role involves developing evidence generation plans, managing cross-functional partnerships, and guiding regional teams to support product launches and reimbursement throughout the drug lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integral value evidence generation plans including systematic literature reviews, cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact analyses, and real-world evidence studies
- Build collaborative relationships across R&D;, Commercial, Medical, and Market Access teams to optimize evidence generation and product launch strategies
- Monitor global marketplace for market access issues and develop plans demonstrating asset value and differentiation
- Cultivate relationships with external experts and key opinion leaders to maintain credibility and support reimbursement strategies




- Provide oversight and guidance to regional HEOR teams on best practices, HTA processes, and process improvements

Requirements
- PhD or equivalent education and experience in pharmacy or clinical domain
- 5+ years health economics, outcomes research, or market access experience in biopharmaceutical industry
- Thorough understanding of health technology assessment processes at global level
- Knowledge of drug development, commercialization processes, and global market access landscape
- Proven ability to lead matrix teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver results across organizational boundaries
- Working knowledge of AI tools for literature review and content development with ability to validate outputs
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals and track record of high-quality research delivery
