POSITION SUMMARY:

Los Altos Ranch Markets is seeking a Meat Assistant Manager to join our team. The Meat Assistant Manager will be responsible for maintaining and managing all activities of the meat department in the absence of the Meat Manager. The assistant will support the department by assisting with selling, ordering product, maintaining inventory, making sure health guidelines are being followed, scheduling and the overall business management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include,



but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist Meat Manager with preparing the weekly sales and labor projections for the meat department in order to maximize sales and profits;
- Assist with preparing a weekly schedule based on projected sales and workload;
- Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers, responding to customer inquiries, and complaints;
- Maintain inventory levels;
- Complete opening and closing duties as assigned;
- Assist with monitoring quality of meat, poultry, and seafood;
- Assistant Team Manager by making sure Team Members are following safety and health guidelines.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Food Handlers Card;
- Prior experience at a grocery store required;
- Should have at least two years' experience as a meat cutter;
- Prior leadership and management experience preferred;
- Understanding of grocery store operations;
- Strong lead
