Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the Study Start-Up team, setting objectives and managing performance
- Ensure regulatory and ethics committee submissions comply with AstraZeneca procedures and international guidelines
- Provide guidance to Local Study Associate Directors and support teams during study initiation
- Serve as local process owner, maintaining templates and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Act as escalation point for complex issues and stakeholder engagement with external partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life science or related discipline
- Prior pharmaceutical industry experience in Clinical Operations, CRA, or similar roles
- Knowledge of drug development, ICH-GCP guidelines, and local regulations
- Team leadership capability in hybrid work environments
- Business-level fluency in written and spoken English
- Risk-based thinking and strategic problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally as needed
