Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Senior Clinical Research Associate (Level I) to monitor investigational sites, ensure protocol compliance, and manage clinical trial documentation. Based in Madrid or Barcelona, this role involves remote and on-site visits to assess regulatory adherence, coordinate with sponsors, and maintain data integrity across clinical studies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct remote and on-site monitoring visits to assess protocol compliance and regulatory adherence at investigational sites
- Perform data accuracy reviews including source document review, verification, and case report form assessment
- Assess investigational product inventory and records; document findings in timely reports with escalation of deficiencies
- Maintain communication with sites between visits to confirm protocol adherence and track issue resolution




- Generate trial status and progress reports to clinical management; ensure clinical trial management systems remain updated

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or registered nursing certification
- 2+ years clinical research monitoring experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license where applicable
- Proficiency in ICH-GCP guidelines, regulations, and clinical monitoring procedures
- Strong critical thinking, root cause analysis, and risk-based monitoring capabilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with medical personnel
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn clinical trial management systems
