The IMDEA Software Institute (Madrid, Spain) invites applications for one intern position in the area of agentic AI and human-centered design.

Research area

The research topic will be about the integration of agentic AI, machine learning and human-centered design to create personalized systems for deliberation, gathering of ideas, arguments, opinions and consensus on different topics, centered towards efficient decision making or learning. Tasks will involve creating software that makes use of AI systems for deliberation with users and then creation of argument maps, opinions and consensus, possibly feeding them back to other users in real time.

Who should apply?

We welcome candidates with backgrounds in design, human-computer interaction, or related fields. Programming experience is a plus but not required.

Working at IMDEA Software

The positions are based in Madrid, Spain, where the IMDEA Software Institute is located.



Salaries are internationally competitive and include attractive conditions such as access to an excellent public healthcare system. The working language at the institute is English. Knowledge of Spanish is not required.

Dates

The duration of the internship is six months. The idóneo starting period is early November, 2026.
