However, avionics applications also demand predictable and reliable behaviour. The student will evaluate a commercial embedded processing platform against representative avionics use cases, developing test and benchmarking tools to assess its suitability.Index + ContentIntroduction and motivation: Computing needs of modern aircraft and the key requirements for avionics processing platforms.State of the art: Embedded processing architectures and their software stacks, and public guidance for their use in avionics.Platform setup:
Bring‑up of a commercial embedded development board and its software environment.Test and benchmarking tools: Definition of representative avionics workloads and development of automated measurement tools.Experimental evaluation: Characterisation of performance, predictability and resource usage under different operating conditions.Results, conclusions and future work: Assessment of the platform's suitability for avionics use cases and recommendations.Required skills #AirbusDiversityStudying Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related fieldsEnglish: min. level B2 (C1 desirable)Spanish: min. level B1General knowledge in C programming, computer architecture (processors, memory, peripherals) and LinuxSkills valued: Python scripting, graphics processor programming, hands‑on experience with embedded boards or programmable logic, real‑time operating systems, artificial intelligence on embedded devices,
