Experteer Overview As a Staff Data Scientist, you will steer the technical direction for core AI capabilities spanning search, ranking, recommendations, and generative vision. You’ll scale and evolve large-scale AI systems across two connected domains, partnering with data science and ML engineering teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions. You drive end-to-end ML features from model selection to serving pipelines, with a strong product mindset and measurable business impact. - Define and drive architectural direction for candidate retrieval, multi-objective ranking, and learning-to-rank across product and design recommendations
- Advance personalization using sequence embeddings from merchant history, trends, and sales signals
- Integrate downstream sales data back into upstream generation and ranking models to improve relevance
- Oversee image-generation pipelines combining multimodal models with diffusion, UNet, and vision transformers
- Enhance classical CV (OpenCV) and deep vision models for delayering, background separation, and asset validation
- Own end-to-end product features, from model selection and self-hosting to serving pipelines and frontend workflows
- Prototype and deploy agentic pipelines and ML features using AI-assisted development tools




- Set up online/offline evaluation and A/B testing frameworks and guide make-vs-buy decisions and inference optimization
- Mentor senior ICs, lead design reviews, and promote a culture of shipping measurable business impactResponsabilidades
- 8+ years of hands-on ML experience in production systems with staff-level leadership
- Deep expertise in modern search, candidate generation, and recommendation architectures (Two-Tower, ANN, Transformer rerankers, LTR)
- Hands-on CV and generative AI experience (OpenCV, CNNs, Vision Transformers, diffusion, multimodal models)
- Proven ability to close loops by linking clicks/conversions/sales back to training and generation logic
- Proficiency with Python and PyTorch; experience with LLM orchestration and agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph)
- Experience with production serving (FastAPI), MLOps (CometML, Flyte), and cloud warehouses (Snowflake)
- Familiarity with Gemini, Claude Code, Claude Cowork for ideation and rapid prototyping
