The product portfolio includes a wide range of microscope systems used in clinical diagnostics, medical and basic research, as well as in various industrial areas.The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-end microscopy systems (e.G. confocal microscopes) at customer sites. The role ensures optimal system performance and customer satisfaction through timely service delivery, technical expertise, and proactive support within the area of Spain and Portugal.TasksInstall and commission advanced microscopy systems at customer sitesPerform preventive maintenance and system calibrationsDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and software-related issuesTroubleshoot complex system failures and implement corrective actionsExecute upgrades and modifications to existing systemsProvide technical support and training to customers (scientists, lab technicians, engineers)Act as the primary technical contact for assigned accountsEnsure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional service deliveryMaintain detailed service documentation and reportsManage service schedules, parts inventory, and travel planningEnsure compliance with safety,
quality, and regulatory standardsCollaborate with internal teams (R&D, technical support, sales) to resolve issuesSupport remote diagnostics and digital service toolsIdentify recurring issues and suggest product/service improvementsParticipate in technical training to stay current with new technologiesShare knowledge and best practices within the service organizationRequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or Applied Physics or Mechatronics or related field2-5+ years of experience in field service, preferably with:Confocal microscopyAnalytical instruments or lab equipmentStrong knowledge of:Electronics and electromechanical systemsImaging systems and opticsSoftware System set upAbility to read schematics and technical manualsProficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software systemsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and customer-facing abilitiesAbility to work independently in remote environmentsWillingness to travel extensively (up to 70-80%)Valid driver's licenseAbility to work in laboratory and cleanroom environmentsFluent Spanish and good English required, Portuguese is a plus.Evident Europe GmbH is an equal opportunities employer and we look forward to receiving your application.#J-18808-Ljbffr
