Job Title:Technical Safety & Architectural Lead InspectorDuration:12-month initial contractLocation:Initial stage is hybrid working between supplier sites, office in Berlin and home. This opportunity supports a major offshore energy infrastructure programme focused on technical safety, fire protection, life‑saving systems and architectural outfitting across verification, supplier surveillance, FATs, yard construction and offshore commissioning. The role offers broad exposure to international manufacturing locations and long‑term yard‑based inspection activity in Dubai. This position will play a key part in ensuring compliant, safe and operational delivery of fire protection systems, safety equipment and accommodation‑related installations.Required Education:Degree or certificate in fire protection, safety engineering, mechanical engineering or naval architectureRequired Experience:Minimum 8 years of QA/QC inspection experience covering fire protection and safety systems and/or architectural outfittingMinimum 5 years of experience on offshore or marine projectsExperience as a lead inspector, owner's inspector or owner‑side representative on offshore substations, HVDC platforms, offshore oil and gas topsides or shipsProven experience leading and coordinating inspection teams in a yard environmentExperience witnessing FATs and carrying out supplier surveillance at international sub‑suppliersExperience in mechanical completion, pre‑commissioning and commissioning of offshore systems,



including punch list and completion managementProven experience in inspection of passive fire protection systems including fire‑rated divisions, penetration systems and fire doorsProven experience witnessing tests of fire‑fighting and fire detection systemsRequired Skills:Strong knowledge of fire protection, safety and architectural systems within offshore or marine environmentsAbility to review verification plans, technical documentation and evidence of compliance against applicable technical requirementsKnowledge of relevant standards and codes including DNV-ST-0145, DNV-OS-D301, IMO FTP Code, SOLAS, IMO LSA Code, Marine Equipment Directive, CAP 437, NFPA 11, EN 54, DIN VDE 0833, DIN 14675, EN 3, EN 13501, EN 1627, EN 341, EN 363, EN ISO 7010 and ASR A2.2Experience with requirements verification and information management systems such as Relatics and ThinkprojectAbility to manage inspection registers, hold points, witness points, surveillance plans, NCRs and punch‑list close‑out activitiesStructured reporting skills for daily, weekly and monthly inspection updates, KPIs and quality statusFluent English at C1 levelValid work and travel permits for Europe,



with willingness to travel internationally and work long‑term in DubaiPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience on offshore HVDC converter platforms, offshore substations, offshore oil and gas topsides or marine projectsExperience as an owner's inspector, owner‑side representative or lead inspector on large EPC projectsYard experience in the Middle East or AsiaExperience with accommodation module fabrication and installationExperience with passive fire protection inspection and certification managementICorr or AMPP Passive Fire Protection Inspector certificationVdS, NFPA or equivalent fire protection system certificationLifeboat and life‑saving appliance inspection or service qualificationExperience with SOLAS, IMO LSA Code and Marine Equipment Directive compliance verificationExperience with helideck certification requirements including CAP 437 and ICAO guidanceExperience with EN 54 fire detection systems and integrated fire-and-gas testingKnowledge of BSH requirements, DNV-ST-0145 and offshore certification processesNEBOSH International Certificate or equivalent HSE qualificationGerman language skillsAbout Airswift:Airswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
