We're looking for a structured, reliable Accountant (all genders welcome) to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting. This is a hands‑on role covering ongoing bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable, and the preparation of VAT returns.You’ll report directly to our Director of Accounting & Finance, who owns overall responsibility for accounting, our ERP system (SAP), and financial close. This position is a great fit if you enjoy precise, detail‑driven work, like running tasks independently, and want to support a growing, international SaaS business.What you’ll doIndependently manage ongoing bookkeeping under German GAAP (HGB) for German and international entitiesHandle accounts receivable and payable: invoicing, payments, and collectionsSupport monthly close, including accruals, deferrals, and account reconciliationsPrepare and file VAT returns and other tax filings (e.G. EC Sales Lists, OSS)Support year‑end close, tax audits, and collaboration with auditors and tax advisorsHelp optimise and digitise processes within the SAP ERP systemCoordinate with other teams (e.G. Procurement, Legal, Controlling)A completed commercial apprenticeship plus certification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) and/or a comparable qualification,
