Street Smash Burgers is looking for an Accountant for our Italian company, in Milan.
This isn't your usual accounting job. Here you'll build the foundations of Street's numbers in Italy: day-to-day bookkeeping (prima nota), VAT, revenue from stores opening one after another. You'll work closely with Headquarters and with AI and automation tools in your daily work (yes, in accounting too). A bit of everything. And that's how we like it.
Key Responsibilities:

- Design and build scalable backend architectures: clean systems, design patterns (Repository, Factory, CQRS, Dependency Injection), maintainable code.
- Own the data layer: design efficient relational schemas, optimize complex queries, get the most out of PostgreSQL and PostgREST.
- Build robust, modular, strongly-typed APIs and services with NestJS.
- Targeted frontend support: build and connect clean, functional interfaces in React (Vite or Next.js).
- Take full end-to-end ownership of features, using AI tooling (Claude Code) to accelerate delivery: directing it on design patterns and structuring context.

Key Requirements:





- Strong backend experience: NestJS, Node.js / TypeScript, PostgreSQL, advanced SQL (PostgREST).
- Solid frontend base in React (Next.js / Vite) as secondary skill.
- Best practices: SOLID, design patterns, Clean Architecture, testing.
- Autonomy and resilience: breaks down ambiguous or complex problems and solves them without getting blocked.
- Pragmatism: knows when to use an elegant pattern and when a simple solution is better.
- Open communication: asks questions, raises issues, challenges ideas constructively.
- English B2 minimum (spoken and written, incl. technical docs).
- Application: CV + GitHub profile or an architecture/project they are proud of.
