Overview

As an Embedded Software Engineer in GMV’s ITS team, you design and maintain embedded applications for rail transport in Linux environments. You will work on passenger information, PA, CCTV, and other on-board and ground communications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate complex railway solutions. The role focuses on robust, high-performance software for real-world deployments on trains, metros, and trams. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape critical transport systems and contribute to safe, reliable passenger experiences.

Responsabilidades

- Design, implement and maintain embedded C/C++ applications for railway systems in Linux
- Integrate ITS components such as PIS, PA, PAS, CCTV, SAE/AVLS and embedded communications
- Develop and integrate device-to-ground and inter-subsystem network communications
- Collaborate on HMI, configuration, monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Optimize performance,



memory usage, stability, concurrency and fault tolerance
- Conduct unit, integration and functional validation in lab and customer environments
- Produce and maintain technical documentation for design, configuration, operation and maintenance
- Provide technical support during integration, commissioning and maintenance phases
- Analyze logs, traces and memory dumps to diagnose abnormal system behaviour

Requisitos principales

- Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar (experience or interest in embedded software for transport)
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Linux operating systems experience
