Overview

As Senior Big Data Engineer in the Data department, you own the analysis, design, and support of major realtime big data projects, delivering robust solutions and promoting best practices. You will drive data-driven excellence and enable strategic decision-making through scalable data platforms. You’ll work to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and timely insights while collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance the company’s data initiatives. This role combines hands-on engineering with leadership in code reviews and technology adoption.

Responsabilidades

- Design, create, and maintain ETL processes, data integrations, and data pipelines
- Handle vast volumes of data with high efficiency




- Develop high-performance services for processing, storing, and analyzing large datasets
- Design and implement data validation and quality checks tailored to business needs
- Troubleshoot live production systems to ensure smooth operations
- Experiment with and adopt new technologies to stay ahead of current and future projects

Requisitos principales

- Big data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, NiFi, Click House and Big Data datastores
- Schema design methodologies and data modeling
- Expertise in extracting large datasets using SQL; familiarity with SQL databases
- Object-oriented programming experience, preferably Python and/or Java
- Cloud-based and/or distributed systems experience
