Overview

Senior Software Engineer in Barcelona building GenAI-powered features for Dow Jones. You own end-to-end delivery of AI capabilities, work with data scientists and product teams, and mentor colleagues while staying hands-on. You’ll integrate LLM APIs, develop tooling for prompt management and observability, and improve CI/CD and production reliability. This role blends backend, AI, and cloud work to scale AI-enabled news and business insights.

Responsabilidades

- Design and own end-to-end delivery of AI-powered features across the GenAI Experiences platform (backend to user interfaces)
- Translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions with risk and tradeoff assessment
- Integrate internal and third-party LLM and AI APIs to extend functionality
- Develop tooling for prompt management, automated evaluations, and observability
- Improve team processes: code quality, testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor and enhance production AI systems for reliability, performance,



and quality across the full stack
- Participate in code reviews and apply MLOps practices for model versioning and experiment tracking
- Stay updated on fullstack GenAI and IR technologies and leverage cloud infrastructure

Requisitos principales

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related STEM field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems
- Strong Python skills and experience building scalable backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP), Docker, Git
- Exposure to deploying and monitoring machine learning models or generative AI systems in production
- Familiarity with Lang Chain, Lang Graph, Lang Smith or equivalent frameworks
- Exposure to MLOps tooling: model deployment, monitoring, experiment tracking, evaluation pipelines a plus
- SQL proficiency and data pipeline tooling (Airflow or equivalent)
