About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and hands-on Civil Site Engineer to manage construction activities for roads and infrastructure projects in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This role is critical for ensuring that projects are executed according to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations on-site. You will be responsible for supervising construction teams, monitoring progress, and resolving technical challenges that arise during the construction phase. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who thrives in a field-based role and wants to contribute directly to the physical development of infrastructure in the Eastern Cape region.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily construction activities on site, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct quality control checks and inspections of materials and workmanship.




- Identify and resolve site-specific technical issues and conflicts in coordination with the project team.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for site activities.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and direct labor on site.

Requirements
- B.Eng or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in civil engineering construction , with a focus on roads and infrastructure.
- Proven experience in site supervision and project execution.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations on construction sites.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks on site in Queenstown .
