Overview

As a Senior software engineer on Elastic’s Streams Backend, you will help design and build the backend services that power Elastic’s unified data pipeline. You’ll contribute to Logstash and Open Telemetry, ensuring scalable data routing and processing for customers. You will work in a distributed, remote-first environment, collaborating across teams to deliver reliable, high-performance data pipelines. This role offers impact shaping core infrastructure used by enterprises and contributes to open-source projects.

Responsabilidades

- Design and implement new features for Logstash and its plugins in Java and JRuby
- Build and operate core backend services for the Streams program in Golang
- Contribute to the Open Telemetry Collector in Golang




- Solve hard distributed systems problems at scale
- Maintain and improve existing code with automated test coverage
- Engage with public Git Hub repositories and community forums
- Provide Pull Request reviews and guidance to peers
- Collaborate with other teams to drive product goals
- Support customers including on-call rotation

Requisitos principales

- Expertise in at least one of Java, Golang and Ruby, and willingness to work with others
