About the role:
We are looking for a Data Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to join our Data Analytics & AI Services Team, team responsible for operating and continuously enhancing Jungheinrich’s central data platform, enabling analytics and AI use cases across the entire organization. Responsibilities:
Build and operate scalable data pipelines and reusable data products on Azure and Databricks
Help develop and operate Jungheinrich’s central data platform
Work across the full data engineering lifecycle, from data integration and transformation to deploying and operating data products
Integrate and process a broad range of enterprise data, IoT data and unstructured data
Develop data transformations and data models using Python, PySpark and SQL
Contribute to solution architecture,
system design and data engineering standards
Ensure reliable production operations through testing and monitoring
Work closely with AI Engineers, Data Analysts and business users across functions such as Sales, After Sales, Finance, Automation and Technology
Turn business requirements into sustainable, reusable data solution
Requirements:
University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering or a related technical field; equivalent professional experience may also be considered
At least 3 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a similar role
Strong Python and SQL skills
Hands-on experience with Azure and Databricks, or equivalent technologies on other cloud platforms
Experience building and operating data pipelines and data products, ideally as part of a data team
Experience with data modelling and CI/CD in a cloud environment
Interest in solution architecture and system design
Experience applying data quality, security and governance principles
Fluent English
Nice to have:
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
Experience with streaming and event-driven data processing
