The Opportunity

We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Lead to grow the Power Consulting business, with a focus on Europe & UK. This role is central to expanding our consulting footprint with utilities, transmission operators, developers, industrial customers, and fast‑growing segments such as data centres and e‑mobility.

You will work closely with Hitachi Energy’s regional Sales and Business Unit teams to position Power Consulting as a high‑value, trusted partner in the European energy transition. This is a high‑impact, autonomous role for someone who combines strong commercial skills with deep energy market insight

How You'll Make An Impact

• Drive profitable growth of the Power Consulting business across the UK and support expansion throughout Europe.
• Build and strengthen strategic relationships with utilities, transmission operators, developers, industrial customers, data centres, and e-mobility stakeholders.
• Identify, develop, and convert consulting opportunities aligned with energy transition priorities, including grid modernization,



renewables integration, HVDC, storage, and digital solutions.
• Own the full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification and pursuit strategy through proposal development, negotiation, and contract award.
• Collaborate with regional Sales teams, Business Units, and Hitachi Group companies to maximize market opportunities and customer value.
• Monitor market, regulatory, and competitive developments to shape business strategy and position Power Consulting as a trusted advisor.
• Represent Hitachi Energy at industry events, enhancing market visibility and strengthening customer engagement.
• Champion Hitachi Energy's values of safety, integrity, and accountability in all business activities..

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Business, or related field (Master’s or PhD advantageous).
• 5+ years’ experience in sales, business development, or consulting with
