At We Resolve (part of Grupo El Fuerte), engineering excellence and practical talent development power our facility management and technical maintenance operations. In proud collaboration with Fundación Resistente, We Resolve established the José Carrasco Scholarship (Beca José Carrasco). Specifically, this initiative honors the company’s founder and reflects his core values of dedication, effort, and professional advancement. To bridge academic study with hands-on industry practice, we are inviting motivated students to apply for this scholarship and internship program based in Marbella, Spain.
Through this program, you will gain real-world technical experience in facility engineering and industrial installations. In addition, you will receive financial coverage for academic tuition, living expenses, dedicated one-on-one mentorship, and a structured paid internship of at least three months.
Job Description: José Carrasco Scholarship & Engineering Internship (We Resolve)
Your Mission: Academic Advancement & Practical Technical Immersion
Your primary goal involves building practical engineering and technical maintenance competencies while advancing your formal education. To achieve this, you will apply classroom theory to real-world industrial installations and building maintenance challenges. At the same time, you will work alongside seasoned engineering mentors. Therefore, you will participate in technical inspections, observe preventive maintenance routines, support project documentation, and develop essential industry skills. As a result,
you will establish a solid foundation for future engineering career advancement within the group.
What the José Carrasco Scholarship Includes:
- Comprehensive Financial Support: €10,000 per year dedicated to covering tuition, academic training fees, and housing/living expenses.
- Paid Internship: A structured, paid technical internship of at least 3 months within We Resolve’s operations.
- Personalized Mentorship: Dedicated one-on-one tutoring and professional guidance from senior engineering staff throughout your practical placement.
- Future Career Pathways: Real-world technical experience, key skill development, a positive team culture, and the potential for long-term career growth within Grupo El Fuerte.
Your Key Learning Activities & Responsibilities:
- Technical Maintenance Exposure: Support technical teams in executing preventive and corrective maintenance routines across hotel complexes, commercial facilities, and machinery installations.
- Engineering Project Shadowing: Observe and assist senior engineers with technical evaluations, energy efficiency reviews, and equipment performance monitoring.
- Documentation & Service Reporting: Learn to interpret technical schemas, record intervention logs,
and utilize maintenance management software (CMMS).
- Workplace Safety & Standards: Learn and adhere to occupational safety protocols, industrial technical regulations, and environmental standards under expert supervision.
Who You Are: The Motivated Future Engineer
- Academic Enrolment: You are currently enrolled in a Vocational Training program (Formación Profesional – Grado Medio o Superior), Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or related), or a relevant Master’s program.
- Internship Agreement: You are eligible to sign an official academic internship cooperation agreement (convenio de prácticas) with your educational institution or university.
- Academic Merit: You present a solid academic record reflecting dedication and scholastic consistency.
- Industry Motivation: You show genuine interest in facility management, technical installations, and the industrial maintenance sector.
- Key Competencies: You demonstrate a proactive learning mindset, intellectual curiosity, structured problem-solving, and strong teamwork skills.
IV. Key Program Schedule & Next Steps
1. June (Application Intake): Submit academic records, CV, and university enrollment confirmation via the official portal.
2. July (Candidate Selection): Candidate evaluation, interviews, and final selection of the scholarship recipient.
3. September (Program Launch): Formal commencement of the scholarship grant and internship integration.
