Cencora seeks a Data Governance Manager to assess and advance data governance practices across its International Business Group spanning nine countries. The role involves evaluating maturity, identifying gaps, and developing roadmaps to strengthen data quality, ownership, compliance, and responsible data use across pharmaceutical wholesale, logistics, and specialty courier business units.
Responsibilities
- Assess data governance maturity across IBG countries and multiple business units
- Develop and maintain roadmaps to improve data governance capabilities organization-wide
- Coordinate governance councils, working groups, policies, standards, and decision tracking
- Define and support data ownership, stewardship, critical data elements, and business glossary standards
- Oversee data quality rules, monitoring, remediation,
and manage governance controls for access and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, data management, statistics, business, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, MDM, or related data management experience
- 2+ years of matrix management experience
- Fluent English language skills
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, stewardship, metadata, and data quality practices
- Experience managing across multiple countries and complex organizational stakeholder groups
- Data governance or enterprise IT certifications (CDMP, CGEIT, CISA, CIPP, CIPM, DCAM, or CDMC) preferred
