The Syntax Security Organisation protects Syntax and its employees, secures the services Syntax sells to its customers, and delivers managed security services to customers globally.

Identity at Syntax spans workforce identity in Entra ID, privileged access in CyberArk, identity governance on a ServiceNow-native platform, and SAP and Oracle application identity. The role secures Syntax's own identity estate first.



The identity standard then extends to the customer environments Syntax manages.

The Identity Lead (m/f/d) is a global, hands-on role that owns identity security for Syntax: the identity standard, the design of non-human identity, the posture and the evidence. The role has no team of its own on day 1 but will act in a matrix management capacity and interact with various global teams and stakeholders. A key aspect of this role is handling non-human and agent identity, meaning service accounts, workloads, and AI agents. The Lead designs the registry and the issuance path. The Lead also owns the evaluation of identity governance to tooling, its recommendation, and its implementation.
