The student will follow a real-world learning pathway centered on maximizing the breast cancer franchise through the incorporation of Imlunestrant in the adjuvant setting — a unique opportunity for the franchise and business unit. Under a tutor's supervision, the student will learn and take part in:
Clinical context and positioning review – Learning breast cancer pathology and the clinical evidence for Verzenios (CDK4/6i) and Imlunestrant (oral SERD), and how Lilly's brands position within the portfolio to maximize patient benefit. Execution of the Verzenios and Imlunestrant tactical plan – Contributing to defining key objectives, target audiences, and tailored messaging for each brand's positioning; observing how a tactical plan shifts when a product moves from priority to mature status, and how a new plan is built from scratch for the incoming product. Omnichannel marketing strategy for a breast cancer portfolio – Learning how channels and content are planned to amplify messaging, and actively collaborating on channel planning (digital, medical, sales), timing, and educational content. Development of briefings and promotional materials for sales and access teams – Learning to analyze the market and competitor materials,
and translating strategy into execution by helping create promotional and access materials. Internal approval processing and promotional compliance – With tutor support, learning to assemble files for regulatory approval and policy compliance. Tracking of action metrics and brand health – Contributing to defining and measuring KPIs such as share of voice, physician penetration, and clinical information requests. Cross-functional interaction with clinical and commercial stakeholders – Learning to coordinate with medical, access, sales, and communications teams to align positioning. Collaboration with external agencies on promotional activities and materials – Participating in selecting, briefing, and evaluating content/campaigns for the new indication, and liaising with vendors to support tactic execution. Preparation of internal training materials for the sales force – Helping develop courses, workshops, or webinars for commercial teams on this indication. Assessment of learning and launch impact – Learning to reflect on what worked, identify improvement opportunities, and present a brief learning report.
