Overview

Mortgage Lane Limited is an established UK mortgage brokerage. We specialise in buy-to-let, HMO, bridging and development finance, and we're now expanding into Spain with UNO Money.

We're looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Mortgage Broker who is fluent in English and Spanish to join our growing team. You'll guide clients through the mortgage process, give expert advice and help them secure the best finance available. The adecuado candidate has a strong grasp of financial services and good basic maths skills for analysing financial data. Much of our work is with property investors and business mortgages, so you'll need a real drive for problem-solving.

You must live in Madrid. The role is mainly remote, with a small amount of travel to meet clients, lenders and partners, and occasionally to our UK office.

Duties

- Assess clients' financial situations and provide mortgage solutions tailored to their needs.
- Liaise with Spanish lenders to negotiate mortgage terms and secure competitive rates for clients.
- Prepare and present mortgage applications, making sure all documents are accurate and complete.
- Keep up to date with the Spanish mortgage market, including current rates, products and regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents, notaries, gestorías, lawyers and other industry professionals.
- Support UK and international clients buying property in Spain, working with our UK team on cross-border cases.
- Support clients throughout the mortgage process and answer any questions or concerns they have.




- Follow up with clients regularly to make sure they're satisfied and to encourage repeat business.
- Help build UNO Money's presence and network in the Madrid market.

Experience

- Previous experience as a mortgage broker or in financial services in Spain is highly desirable.
- Fluent English and Spanish, spoken and written.
- Registered, or eligible to register, as a mortgage credit intermediary with the Banco de España, with the required certification under Ley 5/2019 (LCCI).
- Strong understanding of Spanish mortgage products and the lending process.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly in both languages.
- Good basic maths for calculating loan amounts, interest rates and repayments.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and close attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and remotely, as well as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with property investors, non-resident buyers or business finance is a strong advantage.

Bonus/commission target €20,000–€25,000

OTE €50,000–€80,000
