You studied engineering in Spain and you love making hardware work. Now help design the power and the control system of a new microalgae plant on Fuerteventura – with a permanent contract, relocation support and your work permit handled by us.

AXF Natural is a biotechnology company building a microalgae production facility in Antigua, in the centre of Fuerteventura (Canary Islands, Spain): closed photobioreactors, pumps, blowers, chillers, water treatment, CO2 dosing and sensors. The pilot plant is being planned now; construction, commissioning and scale-up follow.

What you will do

- Design and sign the electrical part of the Spanish execution project (proyecto de ejecución) for our site. An experienced external engineer reviews your first project with you.
- Design and build the control system for the photobioreactors: sensors (pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, light, level, flow), pumps, valves, CO2 dosing and alarms – based on microcontrollers (ESP32, STM32 or similar) and, where it makes sense, a microcontroller based PLC.
- Connect everything: Work on site with electricians and panel builders; test and commission what you designed.
- Help scale the plant up.

What you bring

- A Bachelor's (Grado) in Electrical Engineering or in Industrial Electronics and Automation (Ingeniería Electrónica Industrial y Automática), or a Master's in Industrial Engineering (Máster en Ingeniería Industrial) – from a Spanish university (finished or finishing within 4 months)



or officially recognised in Spain.
- A microcontroller project you wrote and built yourself. Please send a link, photos or a video.
- Basic LV design: you know how to size a cable and a breaker.
- Spanish and English, both at least B2.
- Driving licence. Willing to live in Fuerteventura and work full-time on site.

- €32,000 – €50,000 gross per year – clearly above typical starting salaries in Spain.
- Permanent, full-time contract (contrato fijo).
- 25 working days of paid vacation.
- Work permit: if you are in Spain on a student stay, we handle and pay the switch to a residence and work permit with our immigration advisor. EU citizens need no permit.
- €2,000 relocation allowance and help finding a home.

- Salary review after 12 months and a path to Lead Engineer as the plant grows.
