Overview

Mortgage Lane Limited is an established UK mortgage brokerage. We specialise in buy-to-let, HMO, bridging and development finance, and we're now expanding into Spain, with UNO Money.

We're looking for an organised, detail-focused Mortgage Case Administrator who is fluent in English and Spanish. You'll work closely with our Madrid-based Mortgage Broker and manage each case from application through to completion. You'll be the main point of contact for lenders, clients and third parties, keeping cases moving and making sure nothing is missed. Much of our work is with property investors and business mortgages, so you'll need to be a confident problem-solver who can juggle several cases at once.

You must live in Madrid. The role is mainly remote, with occasional travel to meet the broker, clients or partners, and sometimes to our UK office.

Duties

- Support the Mortgage Broker with the day-to-day running of their caseload.
- Gather, check and organise client documents, making sure everything is accurate and complete before submission.
- Prepare and submit mortgage applications to lenders, and follow up on their progress.
- Liaise with lenders, valuers, notaries, gestorías, lawyers and estate agents to keep cases moving.
- Keep clients updated at every stage and answer their questions promptly and professionally.
- Chase outstanding documents, conditions and offers, and flag any issues to the broker early.




- Keep accurate records on our CRM and case management systems.
- Help make sure every file meets Spanish regulatory and anti-money laundering requirements.
- Work with our UK team on cross-border cases for UK and international clients.
- Help set up and improve admin processes as UNO Money grows in Spain.

Experience

- Previous experience in mortgage administration, case management or financial services in Spain is highly desirable.
- Fluent English and Spanish, spoken and written.
- Good understanding of the Spanish mortgage and property purchase process.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage several cases at once.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in both languages.
- Good basic maths and confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- A proactive, problem-solving approach and a calm head under pressure.
- Able to work independently and remotely, as well as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with property investors, non-resident buyers or business finance is a strong advantage.
