The Senior Systems Accountant plays a key role in supporting, maintaining, and improving the organisation’s finance systems and related accounting processes.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance, the Senior Systems Accountant role is responsible for:
- Support the maintenance, administration, and optimisation of Finance Systems to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical and functional support to Finance users, ensuring effective resolution of system and process issues.
- Provide day-to-day support, training, troubleshooting, and configuration assistance across finance systems and related applications.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities through strong system knowledge, reporting support, and control discipline.
- Contribute to system governance, documentation, and change control, ensuring compliance with audit and internal control requirements.
- Assist in developing and maintaining finance reports, dashboards, and analytics for business users.
- Keep abreast of system updates and emerging functionality, promoting adoption of improvements that add business value.
- Support audit and compliance activities by ensuring traceability of system changes and adherence to key controls.
- Maintain process documentation, configuration records, and user procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 - 8 years of experience in finance systems, accounting and/or audit.
- Experience with reporting processes, and stakeholder engagement across business functions.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and financial controls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver in a dynamic environment
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Adaptable, curious, and motivated to learn and grow within a continually evolving finance systems environment.
- Experience with SAP would be advantageous.
- Fluent Spanish and professional English are required; experience in international, high-growth, infrastructure, energy, or technology environments will be positively valued.
Compensation
- Compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and market data for the region.
- Total Compensation package may be inclusive of annual incentive bonus, and equity (long-term incentive)
