Join a small, ambitious product team building technology that helps hundreds of thousands of users better understand and manage their finances.
You’ll play a key role in developing the central API and backend services that power data, calculations, and core product experiences.
The role is primarily focused on Node.js and TypeScript, with a strong emphasis on API design, data modeling, performance, and developer experience.
You’ll take ownership of backend systems as products in their own right, ensuring they remain intuitive, reliable, scalable, and fast.
Your work will span both scaling established products and rapidly validating new ideas through MVPs and experiments.
You’ll collaborate closely with frontend, design, and product colleagues in a fully remote, asynchronous, and versátil environment.

Accountabilities

Design, develop, and maintain the central API and backend services, primarily using Node.js and TypeScript.

Build fast, efficient services that reliably deliver data and calculations while providing an excellent developer experience for client developers.

Design intuitive APIs and elegant data models that abstract complexity for internal developers and end users.

Scale backend systems and infrastructure supporting existing products while maintaining reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Help develop and validate new products, services, and ideas through rapid MVPs and technical experimentation.

•
Treat the internal API as a product, taking ownership of its stability, usability, performance, and continued evolution.
