Senior General Ledger Accountant position supporting accounting operations for Spain and Portugal at Intuitive Surgical. This temporary one-year role manages accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and expense reporting while collaborating with senior accountants and finance teams in an international environment.
Responsibilities
Execute daily accounting activities including AP, AR, GL, and travel expense processing for assigned entities
Verify invoice and expense report compliance with company policies and account coding accuracy in SAP
Perform bank postings, reconciliations, and payment proposal preparation and execution
Participate in monthly close activities including reconciliations, VAT preparation, and accrual support




Assist with external audit preparation, finance projects, and ad hoc analysis supporting management reporting
Requirements
~ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
~3–5 years of accounting role experience
~ Basic understanding of AP, AR, and GL accounting principles
~ SAP and Concur system experience preferred
~ Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese advantageous
~ Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency
~ Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
