Manager, R&D; Contract & Budget Management role managing end-to-end contract lifecycle for clinical research operations. Supports R&D; business functions through contract drafting, negotiation, compliance oversight, and cross-functional coordination with Legal, Finance, and external vendors.
Responsibilities
Draft, negotiate, and manage work order, change order, and equipment agreements
Oversee contract lifecycle including file maintenance, deliverable tracking, and reporting
Partner with business teams to prepare and execute CDA and NDA agreements
Lead onboarding and training for new Contract Managers and internal stakeholders
Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and regulatory compliance
Requirements
Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical or biotech contract management experience
Vendor negotiation and CRO interaction experience
CLM system proficiency (SAP, Ariba, or equivalent)
Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills
Working knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (GxP, Sunshine Act, data privacy)
Microsoft Office proficiency with contract data analysis capability
Contractual risk identification and escalation ability
