World Courier seeks a Customs & Trade Compliance Specialist to manage import and export customs operations for pharmaceutical and healthcare shipments. The role involves coordinating clearance activities, preparing documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting movement of controlled products across international borders.
Responsibilities
Manage import and export customs declarations using EDI systems and customs platforms
Prepare customs documentation, tariff classifications, and valuations per regulations
Coordinate customs clearance for pharmaceutical, biological, and controlled products
Monitor shipments from origin to delivery, ensuring timely processing and visibility
Communicate with customers, authorities, airlines, brokers, and World Courier offices globally
Requirements
Experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, logistics, or international trade
Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, customs documentation, TARIC, and Incoterms
Experience handling customs clearance for regulated or pharmaceutical products preferred
Fluent in English and Spanish
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customs-related IT systems
Strong attention to detail with compliance-focused mindset
