AstraZeneca seeks a General Development Scientist to provide scientific and clinical leadership in late-stage respiratory and immunology product development, integrating AI-assisted methods into clinical trial design, execution, and data interpretation while maintaining rigorous safety evaluation and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead scientific design, execution, and interpretation of Phase IIb and Phase III clinical trials
- Identify high-value opportunities for AI integration and pilot AI-assisted solutions in live studies
- Develop quality metrics, data review plans, and oversee safety evaluation for assigned studies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including regulatory affairs, patient safety, and clinical operations




- Present scientific insights and AI-enabled results to multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders

Requirements
- Relevant university degree with extensive clinical development experience
- Three or more years pharmaceutical industry experience in multi-country clinical trials
- Expert scientific judgment in late-stage clinical program design and execution
- Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and implement AI solutions in clinical settings
- Proficiency in clinical data analysis and statistical interpretation
