Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Field Application Engineer to deliver post-sale support for molecular diagnostic systems across South Iberia. The role involves installation, training, troubleshooting, and optimization of GeneXpert systems in clinical laboratories, requiring 80% fieldwork and travel across the region.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments, install instruments, configure software and connectivity for GeneXpert systems
- Deliver training on system operation, reagents, software, and connectivity to laboratory staff
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and hardware/software updates
- Manage spare parts inventory and stock levels for field equipment and vehicles




- Resolve customer issues and coordinate across internal functions on technical and administrative matters

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Biology; diagnostic industry experience valued
- 2-3 years in healthcare, biomedical, medical devices, or laboratory customer support
- Fluent in local language with strong English; Portuguese knowledge advantageous
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 27 kg
- Technical support and training experience in clinical diagnostics instrumentation
